A spot-free finish starts here.
Trident is a portable dual-stage deionization (DI) system for the final rinse after washing your boat. Two 4.5 × 20-inch DI filters reduce dissolved minerals that can leave water spots on gelcoat, painted surfaces, glass, and stainless steel.
Built for your final rinse
- Dual-stage DI treatment. Water passes through two DI filters in sequence to reduce the dissolved minerals associated with spotting.
- Designed for the dock. A white powder-coated aluminum frame, integrated carry handle, and flat-free wheels make the system easy to position and move.
- Simple connections. Stainless steel quick-connect fittings, clearly marked inlet and outlet, and an included lead hose with a pre-installed 2.0 GPM flow control keep setup straightforward. No electrical power is required.

Care & support
Connect.
With the water supply turned off, connect the included lead hose, with its pre-installed 2.0 GPM flow control, from the supply to the marked INLET. Connect your rinse hose to the marked OUTLET. Check that all connections are secure, then turn the supply on slowly and check for leaks.
Rinse.
Wash and remove loose debris with your normal water supply first. Use Trident for the final rinse, working from the top down. Keep the rinse hose and nozzle clean to avoid reintroducing residue.
Monitor.
Check treated-water total dissolved solids (TDS) with a suitable meter to monitor DI performance. Rinse results and filter life depend on incoming water quality, flow, water volume, and filter condition. Higher incoming TDS uses DI capacity faster; a fixed number of washes or gallons is not guaranteed.
Maintain.
Turn off the supply and release pressure before disconnecting or opening the housings. Replace exhausted DI media or filters with the correct 4.5 × 20-inch components for this Trident model. Contact Waypoint to confirm compatibility before ordering; smaller Odyssey cartridges are not interchangeable. Protect the system from freezing and follow owner care guidance.
Choose the right treatment.
Trident is designed for mineral reduction during the final rinse. It is a DI system rather than a salt-regenerated water softener, and this configuration does not include a separate sediment/carbon pre-filter. For setup help, replacement parts, or warranty information, contact Waypoint.

Owner experience
"We have been using the Trident system for over a year now and could not imagine cleaning customer boats without it. The water in Eastern NC is very hard and will leave spots immediately if we don't dry it completely. The Trident unit has saved us so much time and the boats look fantastic. Highly Recommend Waypoint!"
