| Your priority | Start here | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Hard water and mineral buildup | Scout, Voyager, or Atlas | Water softeners reduce hardness. Choose capacity around water use and incoming hardness. |
| Sediment, chlorine, tastes, and odors | Odyssey | Dockside filtration. Cartridge selection determines what is treated. |
| Spot-free final rinsing | Trident | DI resin reduces dissolved minerals for a cleaner final rinse. Monitor output and replace exhausted media. |
| Filtered water at the galley | Harbor | Under-sink filtration for a dedicated drinking faucet or compatible ice maker. |
A softener and a DI rinse system do different jobs. Softening alone does not guarantee a spot-free finish. Choose the treatment for your intended use and source water.
Softeners are regenerated with salt. Filtration and DI systems use replacement cartridges. Your water quality and usage affect the service interval, so there is no single running cost that applies to every boat.

Choose softening for hard-water issues and onboard comfort. Choose a DI rinse system when your priority is a spot-free final rinse. A setup can include both treatments when you need both results.
Start with how much water you use and the hardness of the incoming supply. More water use or harder source water can mean more frequent regeneration. Compare the current product details or contact Waypoint with your boat and water-use needs.
Service life depends on incoming water quality, the cartridges fitted, flow, and the volume treated. Use the instructions for your specific configuration and monitor the relevant water readings. Contact Waypoint for help selecting replacements.
Use each system only for its stated application. Harbor is the under-sink drinking-water filtration option; Trident is intended for final rinsing. Follow the source-water requirements and operating instructions for your product.
